EBSA lecturer: Robert G. Griffin
Sensitivity is an issue in all solid-state NMR experiments. Low sensitivity can be overcome by making use of Dynamic Nuclear Polarization (DNP) which was pioneered in the group of Robert G. Griffin (MIT, USA). DNP allows in principle to increase the sensitivity of an NMR experiment by up to a factor of 660. Prof. Griffin has given the EBSA sponsored lecture “Dynamic Nuclear Polarization: Theory and Application to Rotating Biomolecules”.
